We received a horrible call to come to the hospital and that it didn't look good for the patient who was brought in. I gathered myself and our 16-year-old daughter and rushed to the Emergency Room.
Once we arrived, it was not the outcome that we expected and my daughter's father was pronounced. In the midst of the stress, chaos, and emotions, the angel, Carly, appeared and spent time educating my daughter on what had happened and why he didn't make it. As his only child, they had an exceptional bond. Carly spent the extra time to take my daughter in to see her father and spent time with her, providing a caring and compassion that was remarkable. Please recognize this young woman as the compassionate and caring professional that she is. She provided a memory that is less traumatic and facilitated my daughter being able to grieve the loss of her father.
