I delivered my son here in December. I had the most amazing nurse. Carly truly went above and beyond for me and my family. I was absolutely terrified during my whole delivery and after, due to my son being so sick with a heart defect and cleft lip and cleft palate. She did everything possible to keep me calm, reassure me what was happening was good and normal.
Carly was constantly helping me keep comfortable and relaxed. She was very calming, both before and after, talking to me and caring for me like I was the only priority she had. She was so encouraging through pushing and such a big help bringing my son into this world. After he was born, she gave me frequent updates while he was in the NICU. She got me up and able to see him. When he and my husband left to go to Children's within the first hour, I was left all by myself. She stayed with me and helped me through it. She didn't have to be so kind and caring and she didn't have to stay there with me emotionally helping me and just being there for me. But she did and she made sure I didn't sit there and cry alone.
She frequently checked on my pain. She always had a smile on her face and was so upbeat; all of that helped me so much. She gave me the most wonderful birthing experience and care afterward. I will never forget her and all her kindness to us all. She was so kind to my family constantly offering help. She was so patient with us and our worries and questions. She took the time to explain everything to us and was patient and honest in doing so. Carly was honest and did everything to make sure our minds were at ease about every aspect of our day. She did everything from getting us people from the care team to talk to along with getting us any info we needed to understand and help to ease our mind and worries.
She deserves so much more than praise. She needs a reward because she is an extraordinary nurse and person. She made a huge impact on our lives and we are so blessed that she was our nurse. Please know that she is a true angel for what she does. You can tell that this is not a job to her she really cares about her patients to the fullest.
