I was a little depressed the day I found out I had to have another surgery. Then came along my angel, Carlyn. She cheered me up and had me laughing so hard my belly ached a little bit. Carlyn is so funning and helps the patients keep their spirits up - rather than being upset or depressed.

She kept me in good humor and I did not have to call for anything. She was "Johnny on the spot" for my meds all night, was always upbeat, kept me happy and comfortable, even made me laugh. No one else did that. I did not cry one time under her care. I was very impressed with her upbeat attitude. She was great!

This lady is wonderful. She makes you feel welcome. She goes the extra mile. She will talk with you and listen to anything you've got to say. She will answer any questions you have and encourages you that she wants you to get better. A very special person.

What an angel! It is so awesome early in the mornings to be greeted with a great big smile and asking me how I'm doing and if there is anything she can do for me to make my stay more comfortable. Even though she is a nurse, it doesn't seem to bother her to clean me up when needed. She won't say let me get a tech. She is such an angel and I'm so happy to have her as my nurse.

All the staff was amazing considering my situation, but one lady really stood out to me. Carlyn! I became very upset at times and she was wonderful at keeping me calm and was right there for anything I needed, no matter how big or small. It is her kind of compassion that brings me back to St. John's. Thank you for all the excellent care. God bless.
