Carmen was so kind and caring to my grandmother during her time in the hospital. My grandmother was in a lot of pain, and she required a lot of attention. Carmen always answered with a big smile. She truly always showed kindness and sensitivity towards my grandmother. This was a hard time for our family because we knew that we had to make some difficult decisions regarding my grandmother's future care. Carmen provided a "caring ear" and compassion for our family during this time. She is truly deserving of this honor because she definitely epitomizes what nursing is all about.
