Carmen Orr, RN

Carmen demonstrates “extraordinary nursing” in her daily practice. She is a great advocate for her patients. She has a skill set and background made for her role. She goes above and beyond for her patients – often serving food for food insecure patients, coordinating and donating clothing or items for patients who otherwise have nothing. She exemplifies kindness and empathy –she has helped patients re-home their beloved pets when they were no longer able to care for them.

Carmen is knowledgeable, kind, empathic, and goes above and beyond to help her patients. I’m not only her co-worker but a patient she is navigating. Most patients going through this journey are scared and overwhelmed. She has a way about her that helps patients feel listened to and reassured. She eases their anxiety and is with them every step of the way to answer questions and explain things. She is wise and coworkers reach out to her for advice. She is truly amazing! Any patient would be lucky to have her help!
