May 2025 Honoree
Carol A Grinnell, MSN, CNS
Carol Grinnell has dedicated 41 years to her career as a Registered Nurse after serving in the U.S. Air Force. Throughout her tenure with the Central Health system, she played a pivotal role in establishing our nurse-led wound care program and was a key member of the CommUnityCare Intensive Outpatient Clinic, serving our most vulnerable patients. Carol also significantly contributed to the development of the Central Health Transitions of Care Department, ensuring patients experienced a safe transition to their next level of care upon discharge. As Carol transitions to semi-retirement, her passion for nursing remains unwavering. She continues to actively participate as a member of the Central Texas Nurse Honor Guard, attending funerals and memorial services for our fallen nurse colleagues and performing living tributes for nurses in hospice or at the end of life.
Thank you, Carol A, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
