Patient Story- a patient who has Parkinson’s disease with Dementia/Mood Disorder. "She presented herself with great knowledge of the disease and how it affects the brain. At the time she came on board, the patient was having major delusions/hallucinations lasting most of the day. She did all of the contacting of physicians to get her on some mental health medication to help with the delusions. She did not sleep at night, so she gave goals for sleeping, and the medication given was to help with sleep as well. She monitored the efficacy of the medication and helped with the changes in dosage until my sister was stable. She fell a couple of times as well, and she got therapy involved in her episode as well. Carol was kind and patient, and she continued to teach & give ideas to use for my sister. We felt blessed to have her and her knowledge to help my sister. She is a patient advocate and does everything she can for her patients."
