Carol was nominated for the DAISY Award before being promoted to serve as Nurse manager. As a nurse on the unit, she went above and beyond to make sure the patients always had everything that was within the unit's means to give. She would take extra time to look over the patient charts between tasks to make sure that all labs, orders, and interventions were followed up on. She voluntarily went to the preceptor training and precepted many of the nurses we now have at the facility. Carol was nominated more than any other nurse honoree. Her peers appreciate her willingness to help with tasks, train those who need it, and her calm and caring demeanor.
