Carol Flavin, BSN

My best friend was in labor and experiencing a lot of pain. We had a lot of uncertainty and staff turnover during our time at the hospital, and Carol Flavin was the shining light in our experience. She was so supportive of my friend’s birth plan and listened so well when she asked for an epidural and then made sure it happened quickly when requested. She was efficient, knowledgeable, and incredibly caring, and she made our experience that day so much better. When my friend was experiencing a lot of itching and discomfort from the medication in the epidural, she preemptively requested hydrocortisone cream from the provider to help my friend feel more comfortable. This is the kind of care Carol provided- thoughtful, supportive, and knowledgeable. Although our birth experience was really hard, Carol helped it be so much better. As an OB nurse myself, I can say with complete confidence that Carol is an incredible nurse who sees both the medical and the human parts of healthcare.
