Ms. Carol showed me so much compassion and love when I was extremely ill with COVID-19. She wouldn't give up on me. Ms. Carol was always talking to me, encouraging me to fight when she knew I just wanted to sleep. Ms. Carol would sometimes come into my room and give me a look, like not on my clock. You got to keep fighting. It seems like every five minutes she was in my room doing something to me, keeping me alert and functioning. She would turn me, make me squeeze her hand, wave at me when outside my room. I knew then she was my God-sent angel to help me fight because I couldn't do it by myself.
Carol and all the nurses put themselves at risk to care for me, but they never made me feel like they were afraid. I am extremely grateful and humbled that my hospital family was there for me. But Ms. Carol Huffman was my biggest and greatest inspiration. I just can't thank her enough from the bottom of my heart. I love you.
