Carol Kardos was nominated by a patient who comes to the hospital every five weeks to receive infusions for arthritis. The patient explained that although pain can greatly impact her mood, Carol always makes her feel comfortable and cheerful. She described her as a leader of her cohesive team and how her compassionate demeanor positively effects the patients being cared for and the care environment. Carol is honored for her empathy and for portraying nursing excellence in all that she does every day for our patients.
