Carol Larson, RN, MSN, NE-BC

Carol truly leads by example. She exemplifies the word mentor which means an experienced and trusted adviser. As DONCP, she created and led the monthly CNA/TPMG Leadership meetings, where many issues and concerns were resolved in an environment of compassion and mutual respect. This is just one example of her ability to create an environment of trust.

When it was mentioned that some managers would have benefited from Crucial Conversations training, Carol immediately responded and committed to teaching a 12-hour course on the topic. Additionally, she is the Physician Assistant (PA) advocate and part of the facility’s PA trio. She is dedicated to continued professional development and has encouraged and mentored many individuals to elevate their careers while always being available to give them any extra support needed. She supported the rollout of the Nurse Practitioner Excellence Program, which focuses on mentoring and successful onboarding. 

Carol is the type of leader who will never let you fail. She stands beside the staff and promotes critical thinking to solve problems. She is responsive to the needs of others by being accessible and available. Carol is unwaveringly authentic and humble, which makes her an extraordinary Nurse Leader.
