5B is a medical unit with a top DRG of Diabetes. Carol has had a lasting impact on both the patients and the staff on this unit. Staff attend the class she holds on understanding Diabetes. We reach out with ANY questions, and I mean anything! She never hesitates to educate. And then of course the effort and care she puts into patient education and understanding. She is here late hours and makes sure all have the same level of care, concern, and respect before she leaves. We would not be as successful as a Diabetes Center of Excellence without this nurse leader!
