There was a patient from out of state in the ED. Carol helped the patient make reservations when the hotel stated they were going to charge him for an entire night and he needed to check out at noon when he would not be arriving until 6:00 am. Carol called the hotel and continued to talk to them so he could get some rest since he was up all night in the ED, which the hotel agreed to. Carol also helped the patient make arrangements to get his car since he was not familiar with the area. He was upset when he arrived but left with a smile on his face with thanks for all the extra things that Carol did for him.
