My nurse sent Carole in to do my IV since I am a hard stick. Carole was so compassionate and respectful. She told me everything she was doing after she sat and talked to me for quite a while. I told her I felt bad taking up her time and she said that this is part of what an RN does. I really opened up to her about some personal issues and she gave me a big hug. I can tell this is not just a job but it is her life.
