Caroline’s nomination stood out for her extraordinary compassion and professionalism. Not only has she been commended by her unit for being one of the unit’s most experienced code blue experts, but they have agreed that she is a pleasant person to work and has a cheerful spirit. A patient shared how Caroline maintained their dignity during potentially uncomfortable situations and advocated for their pain management needs. She exhibited excellent communication skills, keeping both the patient and their family well-informed.

A patient recalled, “I really wish there were more Ms. Carolines in the health care and assisted living pool of prospective employees.” Caroline’s ability to handle sensitive topics with grace and her compassionate approach to patient care truly embody the spirit of the DAISY Award.
