Caroline went above and beyond for me and my wife. I am a newly diagnosed diabetic. During my stay at 5 South, Caroline gave clear instructions on how to understand my blood sugars, correctly determine the dose of insulin needed, properly and safely pull up the insulin, and administer the insulin. Caroline recorded a short video of herself preparing an insulin injection since that had to be prepared outside of my room. This allowed me to see the steps I'll be following for the rest of my life.

On two occasions, Caroline brought the insulin and needle to my room. She then carefully monitored my wife pull-up and administer my insulin. This gave my wife the needed confidence to do the new and scary process of stabbing me with a needle. Because of Caroline, when I was discharged, my wife and I were confident and comfortable in our ability to manage my diabetes.
