Caroline E. Barnes, RN

After a long battle with dementia, we are letting my dad go. Caroline has treated him with dignity and compassion. When she is his nurse, she is never far from his room. If he is uncomfortable, she is quick to action. Most important is how she talks. He is not awake or conscious, but when she comes in, she talks to my dad first. She cracks jokes and speaks to him with a warmth in her voice that provides comfort.
