Caroline Glowacki was focused on making sure we understand everything enough to do it on our own and to make sure all the important/mandatory things were completed to ensure discharge would go as smooth as possible. There were several things that we were not told/shown, and she went over them thoroughly with us.
Delivering over the weekend of Christmas was emotional for us as we wanted to be home for Christmas. Caroline did all she could to make that happen while also comforting me and explaining that if I couldn't that it's okay and important to be ready than be sent too early and be sent back.
We also chose to circumcise our baby boy and both of us were nervous/scared to change his diaper, but Caroline helped us through it. She showed dad first as mom was emotional to hear and see her son in pain. Caroline worked several times with dad to get him ready to change on his own and when mom was ready to learn she came back and was perfectly okay and willing to re-teach even though it was a day later, and she had a busy day full of many patients to attend to.
Also, delivering over a holiday weekend and being discharged I was worried about my pain and how I was going to make it through the day at home without any meds. Caroline went out of her way to ensure that there was going to be a pharmacy open for me to go to by staying with us and calling pharmacies. She went above and beyond to make mom, dad, and baby comfortable, educated on tips/tricks, and made a very long five day stay as good as it could be. I got behind on paperwork and videos with all our visitors and my pain, but she was on top of it every time she checked on me to get them done and to understand it all. Caroline answered all my questions after I completed the paperwork and videos. Caroline was also very personable as she would tell us stories about her own family to help ease our minds when we were nervous and/or scared. She is someone who loves what she does and loves making sure her patients are well taken care of!
