Caroline earned a nomination for her exceptional dedication to a patient with expressive aphasia, who was frustrated and unable to communicate his needs. Caroline took the time to get to know him and better understand how he communicated. As a result, the patient flourished. “She brought him coffee every morning, took him on walks around the building, and outside. She made sure his caregivers knew his preferences, and she was a resource for help when times were hard,” said a colleague.
