Caroline shows great empathy and kindness towards what the individual and his family are going through.
Caroline is an excellent role model and supportive matron not only for the ward sisters she manages but also for all staff who works on the ward. She is also very caring and compassionate with patients and relatives.
She has a vast experience in nursing which alongside her own personality, leadership skills, and ethics makes her very competent in the job she does.
Caroline respects every patient and their situation and even in more challenging circumstances and shows great empathy and kindness towards what the individual and his family are going through. This set of skills improves patient and family satisfaction and at the same time de-escalates many potential problems and reduces formal complaints. She is relatable and knows how and when to share some of her personal experiences to bond with other people and support them in navigating their own problems.
As a matron, she is supportive and encouraging. She respects my decisions and views as a ward sister and promotes my professional growth. She compliments good results and celebrates the ward's good achievements. Caroline is always available to guide me through staff management and to educate me when needed.
It can't be a coincidence that from the 3 areas she manages, 2 wards have achieved a blue award in the Assessment and Accreditation project and the other holds 2 green results.
