After more than a month, it is still hard to fight back the tears as I recollect how very kind, understanding, and helpful Caroline was in the last days my husband had on earth. For most of us, it is a first and very difficult experience. So many emotions race through our minds. We are in a different environment and question ourselves on how to react, what feelings are we free to express in a hospital setting. Physically how do I react? What is acceptable? Caroline answered all out questions with compassion in her quiet and sincere way. She even demonstrated how to talk and hold him and whisper in his ear. What a magnificent lady and nurse! There is not enough money or accolades to repay her for what she did for us. I will never forget her.
