Registered Nurse Extraordinaire! Carolyn is well-known to many people across the Bryan Health organization. She is friendly and chatty to everyone she encounters. Carolyn makes her coworkers laugh and patients feel more than comfortable around her.
She recently came in on her day off to assist with a procedure that had not been done before. She took the lead in getting everything set up for the physician and the patient. She also prepared and provided the patient with education. She had a 'good catch' when she discovered the patient had inadvertently taken an aspirin that day which could have increased his risk for bleeding. The procedure was rescheduled, and she again volunteered to come in on a day off to assist.
Carolyn is willing to help out where the help is needed, every time. She gets to know her patients very well and they are always very complimentary of the care they receive. The Radiologists who work at Pine Lake are very grateful for her support and expertise during their procedures. They trust her and appreciate the excellent care she provides.
Carolyn had a patient who had an emergency event. Carolyn took control and led the team in getting emergency services provided.
One time she helped 2 elderly ladies who needed assistance to their car. Compliments from co-workers and patients regarding Carolyn's care are endless.
