My husband was brought into the hospital with bradycardia and a digoxin toxicity of 9.5. He was very sick, disoriented and hallucinating. Carolyn was his nurse for the first three days of his eight day hospital stay. She was so kind and caring to him and to myself and our daughter. She was patient and showed immense empathy for our situation. She spent lots of time going over the hows and whys of what was happening.

Carolyn was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. She put our minds at ease and made us feel comfortable and confident in N’s medical care. We were having a lot of doubt after his drug toxicity was caused by too many medications prescribed by his cardiologist. Carolyn was very reassuring and always went the extra step in patient care and family care. After N was moved to the other end of the PCU floor, Carolyn came to visit N (and us) every day that she worked. She came the day he was discharged to say goodbye.

Carolyn is an exemplary nurse and an amazing human being. We feel very lucky to have met her!

Thank you, Carolyn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
