Carrie had a patient today newly diagnosed with cancer. The patient, being very upset, had no one to confide in and support her during this time.
Carrie spent a large part of her day bedside with the patient's head buried in her shoulder. Her tear-soaked scrubs showed her compassion and dedication to her patient when there was no one for her.
Later Carrie went down to the gift shop and bought items to cheer her up. She was able to be her patient's sunshine when a cloud was overhead. Carrie was a true Nightingale today.
