When I woke up this morning, it was the scariest day of my life. Not ever have I experienced this kind of day. To witness my brother, in his critical care treatment during the following six days of being sedated and intubated, had me feeling helpless. Nurse Carrie, like a magician, took charge in the midst of my standing there like a shaking tree, with such professionalism and control of another human's life. Her efforts left me speechless. God Bless her soul as I stood and watched while my knees trembled. My heart finally calmed as I watched Nurse Carrie and her team take control and ease my brother's discomfort with such grace and discipline. Further, this was accomplished with such concentration. In the midst of such high stress, there was nothing that would deter or distract Nurse Carrie Bender from doing her job. Carrie shone like a star. Thank you all sincerely & wholeheartedly.
