‘Mama Carrie’ has it going on! If you call on Carrie, she will be there. Carrie serves as a mentor to new resident RNs, precepts student RNs, and helps orient experienced RNs. She is a whiz at ultrasound IVs. Not only is Carrie a mentor, resource, and leader at work, she takes the time outside of work to get to know her work peers better. She takes each person she works with on an individual ‘date’. Whether it be out to dinner or just hanging out. Carrie makes sure everyone is included and feels special. Carrie brings snacks into work; coffee, her amazing brownies, and essential oils (Carrie has an oil for that!). Carrie provided support for her team and to leadership. Carrie checks in on the unit manager and educator to see how they are doing and what she could do to help more. This is truly appreciated. You will not find a more engaged and dedicated peer! Thank you, Carrie! You are one of a kind.

I was recuperating from a heart procedure when Carrie came in to give me a back and foot massage. It was wonderful! Thank you, Carrie, for your kindness and soft hands. It was very unexpected, but much appreciated.
