It was a very difficult roller coaster, but Carrie was there for every moment.
I just wanted to nominate Carrie because she is determined and very hardworking. She and many other nurses saved my dad's life, but she stood out to me.

My dad came home from work feeling normal, but out of the blue, his left side under his ribcage started to hurt. We were all very worried for my dad, so my mom took him to the hospital. The doctor told my mom that they had to perform emergency surgery; otherwise, he was going to die. His spleen had ruptured, and he was bleeding internally. He lost four liters of blood. He was slowly dying. His surgery was two to three hours long.

It was a very difficult roller coaster, but Carrie was there for every moment. My dad is deaf, so it was hard to interpret for him, but Carrie was okay with it. She enunciated more with him and wrote notes so he could understand what was happening and that he would know that he was going to be ok. Carrie works 7 to 7 shifts and is committed to her job and to helping others. She's phenomenal and easy to ask questions.

As a daughter, writing this story is very emotional for me. I'm so very thankful.
