Before our arrival, I had assumed that this was a place of great joy. Unfortunately, I learned that is not always the case. Carrie took the worst moment of our lives, and made it bearable. She was a comfort to us, and demonstrated a level of compassion that I thought only family was capable of. I can tell you that our healing started in that room because of how she treated us. I will never forget Carrie.
