I have multiple chronic illnesses for which I am often hospitalized. My case is complicated, and often, nurses and even doctors become overwhelmed and don't recognize the importance of noticing details and collaborating.

Carrie showed excellence in her professionalism, perseverance, and humanity. She performed her nursing duties efficiently, showing her knowledge and skills. She exactly kept up with my meds (of which there are many) and she ensured my comfort was considered.

I had a great deal of difficulty maintaining an IV and receiving pain relief. She didn't give up. She replaced lines, checked on pumps that didn't pump, and cleared air from lines repeatedly. A very important aspect of her care was her authenticity. Not everyone can consistently present their true self and have it feel comforting and caring. Carrie's skill, delivery, and personality are truly healing.
