Carrie has been employed by MRMC for 16 years, caring for seriously ill patients in the Critical Care Unit during her tenure with the hospital. Carrie exemplifies the qualities represented by the DAISY Foundation. She develops a special bond with every patient with whom she interacts. Carrie is an exemplary clinician with a broad knowledge and skills base. She is seldom still.
Carrie is walking, teaching, soothing, nurturing her patients every minute of each shift. I frequently receive compliments from Carrie's patients describing how wonderfully she has cared for them. In addition to the appreciation of her patients, Carrie is highly respected by coworkers and physicians. There are few compliments more meaningful than those received from a peer, and I hear recurrently from members of the team about a special act Carrie has carried out for the benefit of a patient.
