Our son was in the ICU for four days. He completed suicide. Carrie was so beyond kind and compassionate. She cried with us, she comforted us, she listened to our stories, and laughed with us. She always treated him with respect. Even though he was gone she still spoke to him as if he was there. She made sure he was comfortable, and we were as well. Carrie became like one of us in those four excruciating days. Any time we had questions she answered them or got us answers as soon as she could. Carrie should be looked to by her peers as a shining example of what a wonderful compassionate nurse should be.
