One of the patients that she cared for nominated Carrie. The patient went on to say that she would like to say thank you to my nurse Carrie. She goes above and beyond at all times. I am always asking her for gum, and one day she brought me a pack of gum. It made my day just to know that she actually was thinking of me.

This hospital is too far for my family to come here, and only one or two family members drive. So, for her to think about me and bring me a pack of gum honestly made my day and touched my heart. It's the littlest things that count. Plus, she has the cutest West Virginia accent that I could listen to her talk all day. She talks with me to ease my pain or make me smile when needed.

You're the best, Carrie, and please don't ever change. Thank you so much for your care and kindness.
