Carrie Little, BSN, RN

Carrie went above and beyond to help a patient who lives in another county- she contacted the patient's employer to inquire about disability benefits and how to help her keep her job since she had been in the hospital so long. She continued to stay in contact with the employer, she spoke several times with the patient's landlord to ensure that the patient did not lose her housing- she researched resources that would help with past due rent. The patient is still in the hospital, but thanks to Carrie, an organization will pay the rent for up to six months, and the patient will keep the housing she's had for 30 years. The patient will not become homeless thanks to Carrie. The patient is very grateful that she can heal in the hospital and not worry about what situation she will be discharged to.
