April 2021 Honoree
Carrie Muhammad, LPN
Carrie was nominated by the daughter of one of our patients. She stated that she was overwhelmed by all that had happened to her mom and was having an emotional moment. Carrie put her arms around her and comforted her which she much appreciated. A few days later, she went to the cafeteria to get lunch and took only cash with her. Once she got her food, she realized that the cafeteria would only accept a debit or credit card. Carrie saw her, took her food, and paid for it. She stated, "Nurses are called angels of mercy and Carrie is totally my angel of mercy. She took care of my physical, emotional, and spiritual needs!"
Thank you, Carrie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
