May 2022 Honoree
Carrie Odom, BSN, RN
Carrie Odom joined the Pulmonary Hypertension team in 2018 and truly understands what our patients need. One of Carrie's most notable features is her ability to connect with people. Carrie calls parents to help schedule appointments, labs, and procedures or help them with obtaining medications or triage their child's symptoms prior to speaking with a provider. There have been many instances when families have told me she is caring, helpful, empathetic, and friendly. She works tirelessly to find solutions to improve the care of our patients.
It is always nice to see when a parent meets Carrie for the first time in person because they always emanate gratitude for everything that Carrie has done for them. Her hard work behind the scenes allows us to be more efficient and effective clinicians, spending our time with patients. She is on task and organized. She goes above and beyond on a daily basis. I feel lucky to work with such a kind, caring, and wonderful nurse and human.

Thank you, Carrie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
