Carrie Ough, RN, BSN
This nurse comes to work every day with a smile on her face. Every patient she encounters, she makes sure they are comfortable and that all their questions are answered. As patients drift off to sleep, she makes sure to talk about things they enjoy or help to put them at peace.
She can almost immediately notice when a patient is nervous. Most recently she stayed close, calm, and talked to help keep them comfortable during surgery.
She always goes the extra mile to ensure patient comfort when positioning. If their back is hurting, she makes sure she has a pillow for under their knees.
She also goes above and beyond for teamwork in the department. She is a strong core. She is always there to assist her staff in any needs and helps start and turn over cases. And genuinely takes an interest in all her fellow coworkers. We are so lucky to have her.
