September 2021 Honoree
Carrie Ozanich, RN
Carrie was absolutely wonderful during my son's PICU stay. She made what was an awful time as pleasant as possible. She constantly asked if we needed anything and volunteered to move a bed into the room when my husband complained about sleeping in the hard chair. To two exhausted parents, this gesture meant the world to us. This allowed my very scared 2 1/2 year old son to sleep as comfortably as possible while attached to cords, next to his father. She could not have been more kind. As parents of a kid who has had his share of stays in the PICU, nurses like Carrie really make the difference.
Thank you, Carrie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
