My husband was a patient at SMC in 2014. I cannot explain what wonderful care he received from all of the staff. Carrie was one of the many nurses that I will never forget. Not only was she professional and compassionate, but always had a cheerful smile on her face. Carrie overheard me telling my husband that I was going to have to buy him some clothes to leave the hospital in as he had gained about 60# due to renal failure. Carrie informed me that her husband had some shorts and shirts that he did not wear anymore as he was a coach for Fort Dorchester High School and he had numerous outfits. I thanked Carrie for her offer and felt she was just being kind to offer. To my surprise, she brought him shorts and shirts that he could wear home and wear at home as well until his condition improved. This exemplifies what not only a compassionate caring nurse does but what a truly genuinely good person does! We will never forget Carrie for what she did!
