Carrie Stone, RN

Carrie recently had a patient come back from surgery. The patient had been back for a short time. When Carrie went to check on the patient she noticed that the patient had some facial drooping and some weakness. Carrie’s quick assessment and identification of a potential problem resulted in Carrie immediately calling for help. The patient was taken to the ER and to CT where the patient was diagnosed as needing emergency intervention. It was through Carrie’s critical thinking, early identification, and immediate response that the patient was diagnosed and treated early, resulting in very little, if any, deficiencies.
