After caring for a very ill elderly patient, the clinician team decided it best to steer care towards comfort measures. The patient did not have any visitors and the family chose not to be present. Carsyn cared for this patient as if it were her own family. When the time came for the patient to pass several hours later, Carsyn was there holding his hand. This is what nursing is all about!
