My brother spent 6 nights in the ICU after a motorcycle accident, and we were blessed to have Carter as his nurse for 4 nights in a row. Carter went above and beyond for not only my brother, but also for me as I spent every night in a chair next to is bed. My brother was on a ventilator for 5 days, and Carter and I were the only two people there with N when he started to wake up very agitated and confused, and unable to effectively communicate with us. Carter had so much patience and compassion, and no matter how stressful things got, he never wavered! He spoke to N in a way that really helped to calm him down in what was a terrifying situation for him. I honestly can't say enough positive things about Carter. We had a bunch of fantastic nurses throughout our ICU and hospital stay, but he is by FAR the best we had! We spent a lot of time together those nights and had time to talk, and I was honestly shocked to hear that he had only been an RN for about a year. He most definitely has found his calling, and I know that he will excel in his career.
