January 2020 Honoree
casey hookfin, BSN, RN
Casey came into our lives on day three of our first hospital stay with our daughter who was 7 months old at the time. We were scared, worried, devastated, and she came in with this insurmountable amount of compassion and grace and it truly changed our direction and outlook.
Four years later, our journey has come full circle and our sweet E has just had a myotomy, the last treatment for her cricopharyngeal bar. Casey taught us how to advocate and educate ourselves on E's needs and plan of care. Every clinical visit and hospital stay, we have checked to see if she is working, just to get a glimmer of that compassion and love she so beautifully projects! We are so thankful for her and her bright light over these four years!

Thank you, Casey, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
