Casey Jenkins was my nurse the day I was scheduled to have a c-section. When I arrived at the hospital I found out my doctor had made a mistake when scheduling me and we were going to have to reschedule. I was heart broken. I was ready to meet my baby and my family had all taken off work that day. Casey was very empathetic towards me and instead of turning me away she became my advocate.
Casey got an ultrasound ordered to see if my amniotic levels had changed and continued to monitor my contractions to see if I had dilated any. She was so patient with me and after an hour it turned out I had dilated and was in labor. I was able to have my c-section that day. Casey could have sent me home but instead, she did all she could to help me and my baby. God works in mysterious ways and I believe he intended for my baby to be born that day, and he put Casey there as my nurse to help me have a safe and timely delivery.
