My nurse is special to me because this is my first time being at Tampa General and first time with the procedure I had and with that said, she told me everything about what they did how she was going to help me feel better and take my mind off of it. Caz made me feel like I was not in a hospital but more like in a very special place where they care about the people, like at the Hilton. She always made the room light up when things seemed to be down or I was in pain. She would just smile and say, "you're going to be okay". That just calmed me down and made me re-focus. She would make me and my mom feel like we were loved and supported by her because she had such manners and kindness in her voice and even when you can tell she was so overworked and tired she managed to keep smiling keep us smiling. I wished she was my nurse every day. Whenever she was in the hall and I saw her, she made me feel so happy because of her help. I wanted to run up to her and give her a big bear hug but when I turned around she was gone to work with another patient, always keeping busy. She never stops she gives it her all in everything she does and she made sure it was done right and if it was not she would go back and fix it until it was perfect.
One time my mom broke down crying from seeing me in pain. Caz walked in and said, "Honey it's going to be alright, we are going to take the best care of your baby girl, but you need to take care of yourself as well because you do not want your baby girl to get upset and worry about you. Give me a hug and know it's going to be okay." When I heard and saw her do that I knew at that moment she was a true DAISY Nurse. She is an angel in disguise, she just really is the perfect nurse. There is nothing I can really say on here to describe how much she meant to me while I was here. No words describe how wonderful of a person, soul, and nurse she is. I have been in and out of hospitals since I was 7 because of my health and I have never met or witnessed a nurse like Caz. She is a one a million and you are dang lucky to have her.
