Ms. Charity is always so loving and remembers you. My son has been diagnosed with cancer since he was 6 weeks old. Ms. Sandy has been one of the gem nurses who remembers him and is always with us every time my son goes through an MRI (now almost 5). It’s always so stressful, but she always comes in and spoils our son with joy and compassion and all the snacks for a job well done. We have been so grateful to someone who also checks on me (the parent) with a “And can I get anything for you too, Mom?” She is the warm hug you need after a long day of trying to get to your appointment on time, calming an anxious kid while waiting anxiously yourself for the results that dictate the next step on this journey. Please take care of the Ms. Sandys in your building because we need more of them.
