Cassandra Dumay, BSN, RN

Cassandra was a nurse who gave me compassion and a listening ear when I was attending to my mom (102). I was in my mom’s room as an advocate day and night, and many evenings were a struggle with my mom. I was noticed by Cassandra, and she took the time to put her hand around me and asked me what she could do to help me. I really didn’t know what could be done other than a little extra attention to my ailing mom, and when I needed that extra attention, she gave that extra attention with pride in her job. The week that I was in the hospital attending to my mom was an extremely stressful and mind-boggling situation, and I really didn’t know how to handle it. She came to me with empathy and tried to explain some things to me that probably settled me down a little... So, thank you, Cassandra, you're an extremely caring, compassionate empathetic nurse!
