Cassandra was very sweet, kind, and talked to me not as if I were a patient but a person.
Cassandra helped me through the hardest delivery I’ve ever had to date. All of my previous pregnancies have been vaginal and with my newest baby, she turned breech during my induction, and it turned into a c-section. Cassandra was so comforting and calm during one of the scariest experiences I’ve ever had.

She let me know it was okay to grieve the loss of the delivery I had wanted and anticipated, and it let me give myself the grace I needed to get through the experience. While my husband was a huge support throughout the delivery, I don’t think I would’ve been able to get through it and feel positive about the situation without Cassandra.

My nurse when I came into the hospital was just hands down the most amazing nurse I've ever had. Cassandra was very sweet, kind, and talked to me not as if I were a patient but a person. I came into the hospital at 28 weeks pregnant and, unfortunately, lost my sweet baby girl. This was a very heartbreaking experience not only for me but my partner. She talked to my partner as well and made sure he was taken care of, too. To me, that shows me the type of person this nurse is.

She was my nurse when I came in that morning, and she told me she would be back that night as well to take care of me. Unfortunately, she didn’t come back that night, and I was then moved to a different floor to recover after delivering. However, Cassandra went out of her way to come and see me. She came and checked on me and my partner. I told them how the lab people had been poking me all night to try and get labs but were unsuccessful because I have bad veins.

Cassandra offered to come down and draw my labs for me because she had put an IV in me, and I didn’t even flinch when she did it. I was so happy to hear this because I had been poked 13 times the previous night, and no one could get any blood from me. Again, this to me shows that she didn't see me as a patient but as a person. A mother who had just lost her child, someone who is grieving and going through a lot of emotions.

She came down right when the lab people were coming in, and she poked me one time and got the blood the lab needed. I was so relieved when I saw her come in the night I was moved, and offered to poke me. My father was also happy to see and hear her say this because he watched as I suffered in my bed with being poked that many times.

Cassandra, if you get to read this, I want to say thank you. You made my stay in labor and delivery just amazing. I wish I could do more for you. You are just an amazing nurse and person. I thank you for the comfort you gave not only to me but my partner and my family, that was there with me. Thank you so much for everything you did for me. I couldn’t be more grateful for that. Again, thank you so much.
