Cassidy was the ray of sunshine I needed during my first hospital stay. I was admitted with a DVT and PE in both lungs, unsure how long I would be in the hospital. She kept it positive and upbeat; she advocated for me, listened to my needs, and was patient when I struggled to find the words to describe the pain. The best thing she did was ease my husband's mind as things were happening differently. I had a Rapid Response called on me while she was our nurse, and she talked my husband through one of the scariest moments of his life. When it came time for her shift to end, she made me promise I would never see her again and that I wouldn't be there for her next shift on Monday. Sure enough, I was discharged, and I never got the chance to thank her for everything she did for me. She empowered me to advocate for myself and to be my own voice, but also for my husband to step in and be my voice when I couldn't. I seriously cannot thank Cassidy enough for everything she did for us. She is beyond amazing at what she does.
