Our sweet little A was born with Chromosomes that no one that took care of our sweet baby had ever seen before. Days and nights were so hard not knowing what was in store for our sweet baby girl. When we had Cassidy for the first time she instantly made us feel at ease and helped bring us joy in a dark time. Cassidy works nights and so nighttime with her as A's nurse quickly became my favorite. We gave A her first tubby with Cassidy after her suture came out of her belly button and I will never forget it. A knew Cassidy and could sense when she was there. A had a favorite lip gloss (mouth moisturizer) and just hearing Cassidy's voice she would start licking her lips. There were countless times Cassidy advocated for us and our sweet baby girl.

Our sweet baby girl took a turn and Cassidy went above and beyond to help us make memories with our sweet baby. A's vitals quickly turned around when Cassidy came in that night and I truly believe she is part of the reason we got to take her home and have her live out the rest of her days at home and get to be a family of 10 for a short time. A's life may have been short but it had so much meaning and Cassidy helped us make so many great memories in that short time. Our A is in heaven now and I cannot be more thankful to have had Cassidy as her nurse; it’s Nurses like her that can bring the sunshine in the greatest storm.
